Heavy Diesel Truck MechanicWilmington Area Terminal — Bear, DE, 19701North American Bulk Transport is a leader in the transportation industry, committed to keeping our fleet running safely and efficiently. We are looking for a skilled Diesel Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team and help maintain, diagnose, and repair our diesel-powered trucks and equipment.Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel trucks, including oil changes, tire repairs, and brake diagnostics and repairs.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and complete necessary repairs.Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair engine, transmission, and exhaust system problems.Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.Replace or repair faulty components such as fuel systems, brakes, suspension, and cooling systems.Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.Work collaboratively with drivers and fleet managers to ensure trucks are road-ready.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Diagnose and repair bulk unloading equipment.Follow safety rules and policies.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Knowledge of diesel engine systems, transmissions, and hydraulics.Welding experience a plus.Experience using diagnostic tools and software.Ability to lift heavy parts and tools and work in various conditions.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.Why Choose This PositionCareer GrowthGreat PayWhat You'll Run or DoInspect, maintain, and repair tractor/semi-trailersPerform routine preventative maintenanceRequirementsHands-on experience in heavy-duty diesel repairValid drivers licenseMust have own toolsBenefits401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceReferral program
