Data Engineer OpportunityGenesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer for a contract position with a Leading Pharmacy Benefit Manager located in Eagan, MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. Compensation: $66.00 - $69.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications.Position Overview: This role will design, build, test, and support data integrations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, to develop robust data pipelines and ensure data governance principles are met.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, test, and support data integrationsDevelop and maintain data pipelines using Python and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) servicesOptimize and manage GCP BigQuery, including query optimization, partitioning, clustering, and data modelingImplement data quality validation, testing, and monitoringUtilize Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer) for workflow orchestrationAutomate and script tasks using Bash/ShellPrimary Requirements:8-10+ years of experience in Data EngineeringExperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Proven experience in data pipeline development and an understanding of data governance principlesProficiency with GCP BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow)Strong programming skills in Python for data engineeringAdvanced SQL skills, including window functions and CTEsExperience with Git for version controlKnowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT patternsExperience with performance optimization, query tuning, and cost optimizationDesired Skills:Experience with Dataflow (Apache Beam) for streaming/batch processingKnowledge of Pub/Sub for event-driven architecture and message queuingFamiliarity with Cloud Functions for serverless data processingExperience with real-time processing and streaming analyticsPBM or general Healthcare industry experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
