Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist Opportunities

We are thrilled to announce openings for Pediatric Cardiac Intensivists, offering a chance to lead and enhance a vital Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care program.

Founded in 2018, our Pediatric Cardiac Surgical Program at the medical center provides comprehensive cardiac care, bolstered by a strong collaboration with a renowned children's hospital. Our dedicated Pediatric Heart Center team comprises:

• Experienced cardiac surgeons
• Cardiac intensivists
• Pediatric intensivists
• Pediatric cardiac electrophysiologists
• Advanced cardiac imaging specialists
• Pediatric cardiac interventionalists
• Cardiovascular genetics experts
• Critical care nursing professionals
• Pediatric perfusionists

As the primary medical center for pediatric cardiac surgical and interventional care for a patient population of 4.6 million in Northern California, we are expanding our clinical team and are in search of talented cardiac intensivists to help shape and advance our cardiac intensive care program. Ideal candidates will possess strong collaboration, leadership, clinical, and interpersonal skills to excel in a dynamic, multidisciplinary setting. There are also opportunities to engage in clinical research, quality improvement, and leadership initiatives.

We are looking to fill two Cardiac Intensivist roles:

• Medical Director of the Pediatric Cardiac ICU
• Staff Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist

The Pediatric Cardiac ICU Director will collaborate closely with the leadership of the Pediatric Heart Center and the Pediatric ICU staff to further develop our expanding program.

For both positions, responsibilities include:

• Providing inpatient care for pediatric patients with cardiac surgical, interventional cardiology, and congenital heart disease needs at our medical center.
• Actively participating in a collaborative, interdisciplinary congenital heart program.
• Depending on individual training, board certifications, and skill sets, additional responsibilities may encompass:
• Inpatient and outpatient pediatric cardiology clinical care
• Pediatric ICU (PICU) coverage

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology and/or Pediatric Critical Care
• Preferred: Dual board certification in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care
• Required: Training and experience in cardiac intensive care
• Eligibility for a California medical license (or currently licensed in California)

The base salary range for this position is between $339,539.00 and $350,040.00. Additional benefits include:
