Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with 2+ years of relevant experience and prior travel experience required for a full-time vascular practice.

Job Details

• Full-time vascular ultrasound practice within a heart and vascular department,
• Adult vascular patient population, including many dialysis and port placement patients,
• Target ratio of 1:5 with an average daily census of 6-9 patients,
• Procedures include mesenteric, AIC, CDUS, AAA, and ABI studies,
• Uses Philips ultrasound machines and Picom imaging software,
• Charting completed in Epic and Picom,
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM,
• 40 hours per week available,
• 6-8 week contracts accepted,
• No call, float, or weekend requirements,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required,
• Prior travel experience required,
• ARDMS and ARDMS RVT certification required,
• BLS certification required,
• License required if applicable,
• Experience with abdominal aorta, arterial graft studies, arterial mapping, carotid, color flow, dialysis grafts, doppler studies, duplex, lower and upper extremity arterial/venous studies, m-mode, peripheral vascular resistance, renal artery duplex, stents, and transcranial doppler,
• General ultrasound and vascular experience required,
• Epic charting experience preferred,

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound studies for adult patients, including dialysis access and port placement evaluations,
• Unit orientation is 24 hours, with hospital orientation during the first week requiring daily class attendance,
• Scrub colors include blue, grey, and black,
• Local candidates within 50 miles may be accepted at a lower pay rate,
• RTO of 7 days or less can be auto-approved but cannot include holidays; no RTO is allowed during the first week of assignment,
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays,
• Travel pairs are allowed if placed on different units and disclosed at submission,
• Former Novant Health or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before reapplying as a traveler,
• Current travel per diem clinicians must choose either travel or per diem status, not both,
• Pre-start learning modules are required and must be completed annually, with hours varying by specialty
