Social Studies Teacher

Social Studies Teacher Connected Circles is an approved small independent therapeutic school in Vermont where student success happens through one‑on‑one connection in the context of community. We create safe and supportive learning environments grounded in student autonomy and choice, where students build the skills to succeed in life. We are looking to hire a Social Studies teacher for incredibly rewarding work with some of our most vulnerable youth. Responsibilities Provide academic instruction in social studies. Support socio‑emotional growth of students. Model appropriate social behaviors and communication norms. Set and keep healthy boundaries. Engage in life‑long learning and demonstrate a growth mindset for self and others. Qualifications Beginning fall 2026, all teachers must have a Vermont teaching license. If you hold a bachelor’s degree in a specific content field (e.g., History) and are committed to becoming licensed, the school will support that process. Citizenship, residency or work visa required. Compensation and Benefits Pay range: $23–$28 per hour, commensurate with training, experience, and licensure.
