Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Cardiac ICU

Job Description:

Advanced Practice Providers serve in a primary covering provider role and should be comfortable managing patients with congenital heart disease, including complex anatomy and physiology, in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities:

• Caring for critically ill pediatric congenital cardiac patients
• Managing pre- and post-operative pediatric cardiac surgical patients
• Handling high-risk single ventricle physiology, open chest management, arrhythmia management, and vasopressor support
• Using external and internal pacemakers, VA/VV ECMO, and CRRT
• Occasionally providing care for adult patients with congenital heart disease and PICU boarder patients

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU as APP
• Knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner
• Active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• BLS from AHA
• PALS from ABA
