Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New Mexico license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - San Juan Regional Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - San Juan Regional Medical Center.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: - 2 years of experience preferred. - Charge nurse experience preferred but not required. - Oncology skills helpful but not necessary.

Special Requests: - Block scheduling will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Unit Details: - Adult patients ages 18 and older. - Common diagnoses/treatments include cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and CHF. - Equipment includes VS machine, bladder scanner, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps.

Shift & Scheduling: - Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. - Policy recommends all staff work at least 2 weekend shifts per month.

Floating Requirements: - Floating per facility needs.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required
