Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Special Education Teaching credential for the state of California Bachelors degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred Familiarity with developing and working from IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to supporting students of varying abilities and backgrounds Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and adapt lesson plans to accommodate individual student needs Develop, review, and update IEPs, collaborating with staff, families, and service providers Monitor and document student progress, using data to adjust instructional strategies Create a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Participate in team meetings and contribute insights for student development Provide guidance, strategies, and resources to general education staff as needed Thrive in an environment that values every educators contributions and strives for meaningful progress in special education.
