Custodian - Baker County Head Start Centers Position Summary: Provide ongoing custodial services required by the agency for Baker County Head Start centers. Approximately 10 hours per week; 10/11 month position, August through June. Responsibilities Perform custodial services in facility areas of all classrooms, common areas, and bathrooms of the specific site (does not include site kitchen). Daily and weekly site maintenance and cleaning. Start Date: August 2026. Minimum Qualifications Enrollment in the Oregon Child Care Division Central Background Registry at the time of application. Communicable disease verification from a qualified healthcare provider. Documentation of verification (passport, driver's license, official ID card, original birth certificate, social security card). High School Diploma or GED. Basic cleaning knowledge or experience, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safe usage. Physical stamina: able to lift 25–50 lbs, stand, bend, twist, reach, and walk for extended periods. Reliability and punctuality: dependable attendance, ability to follow routine cleaning schedule. Attention to detail: ensures cleanliness meets health and safety standards; noticing and addressing spills, damage, restocking needs. Basic communication skills: understand and follow written or verbal instructions; report issues to supervisor. Ability to work independently and as a team: self‑motivated, cooperative. Basic knowledge of safety and hygiene practices: safe storage of cleaning supplies, follows safety guidelines, including PPE when needed. Willingness to learn and train on the job. Preferred Qualifications None specified. Special Instructions Within 30 days of hire: obtain Pediatric CPR / First Aid certification.
