Histologist

We’re hiring a Mohs Histologist at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Histotechnologist or Histology Technician with expertise in frozen sections, cryostat operation, embedding, microtomy, and H&E staining to support a high-quality Mohs surgery program. Key Responsibilities Processing Mohs tissue specimens for physician review Embedding, sectioning, staining, and performing quality control procedures Maintaining cryostats and laboratory equipment Supporting lab compliance and quality assurance initiatives Assisting with training and mentoring staff Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience ASCP certification and applicable NYS licensure required (HT, HTL, MLT, or MT/MLS) Mohs or frozen section histology experience preferred Please note: Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Rochester, NY area at their own expense. #J-18808-Ljbffr
