Finance Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Clerk to support the Corporate Finance Department on a temporary 36 month assignment. This role also serves as a receptionist and is responsible for providing front desk support while assisting with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and comfortable handling both administrative and basic accounting tasks in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Support (AP/AR):

  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
  • Perform 3-way matching of invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders
  • Enter financial data into AP/AR systems with accuracy
  • Process AR invoices as needed
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial filing systems
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail

Reception Duties:

  • Greet visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Manage visitor sign-in process using tracking systems
  • Notify internal staff of guest arrivals
  • Direct visitors appropriately within the office

General Administrative Support:

  • Perform filing, typing, and general office clerical tasks
  • Support a small finance team (35 members)
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Prior administrative, receptionist, or clerical experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting or finance (AP/AR exposure a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, data entry systems)
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required
