Position: Registered Nurse

Location: Lewiston, Maine

Department: OR PACU

Available Shifts: Days

Compensation: Up to $1,491.84 - $2,067.48 gross weekly

Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

• Reports to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services
• Provides patient care in the PACU utilizing the nursing process
• Coordinates post-operative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists
• Leads and supports PACU staff while upholding care standards
• Communicates clinical changes to physicians, including hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostics
• Works collaboratively with departments to ensure quality care, efficient patient flow, and unit organization
• Ensures adherence to regulations, standards, and hospital policies
• Engages in performance improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and in-services
• Acts as a clinical resource for other staff as needed

1. Active and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and must remain current.
3. ACLS (AHA) certification required within 30 days of hire and must remain current.
4. PALS (AHA) certification is preferred.
5. A minimum of one year of PACU experience is required.
6. Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification is preferred.
