Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC Must-Have: - Previous charge experience (minimum 2 years) - Experience in a Level II Trauma Center - Required weekend shifts (12 shifts, either Saturday or Sunday) - Ability to work on holidays Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a fast-paced emergency room setting. The position requires alternating schedules of 36/48 hours. Candidates must be able to work nights. Working during Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day or Christmas Eve and Christmas Day is mandatory. Experience with a charting system, preferably Cerner, is desired. The role involves managing a variety of patient conditions, including trauma, acute illnesses, and psychiatric emergencies. The nursing staff will provide care to diverse patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics. Team collaboration with various interdisciplinary support services will be essential. Duties include administering medications, performing assessments, and managing critical patient cases. Candidates should be skilled in intubation, obtaining 12 lead EKGs, and procedural sedation. A commitment to high-quality patient care and the ability to handle a high-volume environment is necessary.
