Summary:
Provides diagnostic cardiac ultrasound services and interprets images for ultrasound procedures. Assists the cardiologist and gathers cardiac data to inform diagnostic decisions.
Education:
* Graduate from an Accredited Radiology Technology Program
Education specialization:
* Ultrasound Technology
Experience:
* Six months of related experience in an acute care environment
Credentials:
* RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer or* RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Certification required within one year of employment)
* BLS - American Red Cross or American Red Cross
