Slitter Operator

As a Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining slitting machines to cut materials into specified sizes and shapes. You will work with a variety of materials, including paper, plastic, and metal, to produce high-quality products for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience operating slitting machines and possess a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate slitting machines according to job specifications
• Load and unload materials onto machines
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
• Make adjustments to machines as needed to maintain production standards
• Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary repairs
• Keep accurate records of production and materials used
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during production
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience operating slitting machines
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications
• Proficient in basic math and measurement
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
