Travel RN - Operating RoomAmerican TravelerWinona, Minnesota, United StatesPosition ID: P-747296Position status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$2,547.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 3 years of OR circulating experience and an active MN RN license.DetailsOperating Room setting within an acute care, rural community hospital7 surgical suites averaging 5-25 cases per dayCommon cases include general surgery, orthopedic/sports medicine (including total joints), plastics and cosmetics, podiatry, cataracts/eye procedures, OB/GYN/women's health (non-cancer related), and endoscopy/colonoscopyUses Cerner/Oracle EMRDay shift schedule with 5 8-hour shifts per week, typically 0645-1515Scheduling includes late stay rotations and block scheduling, with flexibility needed to fill gaps in permanent staff schedulingWeeknight call required 1-2x per week, typically M-F totaling approximately 15.5 hoursWeekend call required 1-2x per month, consisting of 24-hour shifts from Sat 0645 to Sun 0645 and Sun 0645 to Mon 0645Holiday call rotation may be required, including the day before and day of, and day of and day after the holidayCall response time is 30 minutesMay float into OR scrub role, PAA/PACU, or sterile processing to assist as neededOR techs are available to support the teamOne charge nurse covers OR/PAA/PACURequirementsActive MN RN license requiredBLS certification required for RN circulatorsACLS certification is a plusMinimum 3 years of RN OR circulating experience requiredExperience circulating in a variety of surgical case types requiredGeneral surgery and orthopedic experience required, specifically total jointsPlastics experience preferredExperience in similarly sized facilities such as Trauma Level 3 or 4, and/or Critical Access Hospitals requiredScrub experience preferredBSN not requiredAdditional InformationFacility provides scrubs which must be worn only on-siteCandidates should arrive to the facility in presentable attireUnit-specific orientation includes 1-2 shifts with a preceptor and 1-2 call shifts with a preceptorRural community hospital setting offers a wide variety of surgical casesMust reside within 100 miles of the facility
