Behavioral Technician (1:1 School-Based Support)

• Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM

• Up to $25/hr (DOE)

What You'll Do

• Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to a student throughout the school day

• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and skill-building programs designed by a BCBA

• Track behavior and skill progress with real-time data collection

• Support the student during classwork, transitions, social interactions, and daily routines

• Use evidence-based strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and build adaptive skills

• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and clinical supervisors

• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards

• Attend required trainings, meetings, and supervision sessions

What You Bring

• High school diploma (college coursework in psych/education a plus)

• Experience working with children or individuals with behavioral/developmental needs

• Ability to follow structured plans and accept coaching

• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills

• Calm, supportive presence during challenging moments

• Ability to pass background and district clearance

• Reliable transportation to the assigned school site

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and respond quickly during behavioral incidents

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
