Join Our Team as a Senior Maintenance Technician!

This is an ONSITE role based in Brooklyn Park, MN.

As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in keeping our manufacturing operations running at their best. In this hands-on position, you'll maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install complex production equipment while driving equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor team members, solve challenging technical issues, and make a direct impact on production success in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and install complex manufacturing equipment to keep production running smoothly and efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, component replacements, and equipment optimization.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor, helping develop the skills and capabilities of fellow maintenance team members.
• Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective, long-term repair solutions.
• Utilize the CMMS system to manage work orders, track maintenance activities, and support equipment reliability initiatives.
• Champion a safe, organized, and high-performing work environment focused on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to enhance equipment performance, streamline processes, and increase operational uptime.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and operational standards while supporting a culture of excellence.

What It Takes:

• Advanced technical degree, certification, or 4+ years' experience
• Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years hands-on experience maintaining and repairing complex electrical and mechanical equipment
• General maintenance experience to include compressed air, mechanical and electrical
• Experience in a production environment related to Injection Molding and CNC Machining is preferred
• Strong electrical knowledge
• Advanced trouble shooting skills on all types equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
• High Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to mentor, coach and provide training to less experienced team members

$69,000 - $85,300 a year Protolabs offers a competitive total rewards package, and compensation mix vary based on position, such as base wage, as well as other earnings including incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, job function, work experience, specialized skills, training, education, and certifications.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
