Urogynecology Advanced Practice Provider

Job Description​BJC Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)—a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant—to join our Urogynecology team. The team provides specialized care for women with pelvic floor and lower urinary tract disorders, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction, recurrent UTIs, and overactive bladder.ScheduleFour 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through FridayOne scheduled weekday offNo routine weekends or holidaysShared call rotation for telephone triage and patient guidance possiblePosition SummaryThe APP will work collaboratively with physicians and the care team to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients in outpatient and inpatient settings. The role includes outpatient clinic care, potential for participation in an inpatient rotation, and the opportunity for an APP to develop procedural skills, including potential first assist in the operating room based on experience/certification, training, credentialing, and department needs.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependent practice in the outpatient clinic and collaborating with physician(s) as appropriate, including evaluation, treatment, and follow-upPerform comprehensive histories, physical exams, and patient assessmentsDiagnose and manage urogynecologic conditions within scope of practiceDevelop and implement evidence-based treatment plansOrder, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic test resultsPrescribe medications and treatments as appropriateProvide patient and family educationCoordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams as appropriateSupport continuity of care and quality improvement initiativesRole duties may include but are not limited toPhysician Assistants and Certified First-Assist: Operating room first-assist responsibilities as appropriateCompletion of admissions, consultations, subsequent day visits and discharges in the inpatient settingThis role may require training and competency for procedures applicableRequired QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant programCurrent APRN or PA license, or eligibility for licensureNational certification as an NP or PACurrent DEA registration and prescriptive authority, or ability to obtain as appropriatePreferred QualificationsWHNP or PA certificationExperience in Women’s Health, Urogynecology, Urology, Gynecology, or a related specialtyExperience caring for patients with pelvic floor disorders, urinary incontinence, or prolapseOperating room procedural experience or interest in developing specialty-specific skillsThis position offers the opportunity to build expertise in a growing specialty while working alongside a collaborative team dedicated to improving women’s pelvic health and quality of life.Job RequirementsApplicable Experience:Less than 1 yearAdvanced Practice Provider - VariousMaster's Degree - Nurse PractitionerJob DetailsFull TimeDay (United States of America)SummaryLocation: Saint Luke's Hospital | 4401 Wornall Rd | Kansas City | MOType: Full time
