Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures according to established protocols
• Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety throughout all imaging procedures
• Operate and maintain mammography equipment while adhering to quality assurance standards
• Review images for quality and accuracy prior to radiologist interpretation
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection prevention protocols
• Assist radiologists with breast imaging procedures and patient care as needed
• Educate patients about mammography exams and address questions professionally

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Active ARRT certification required
• ARRT Mammography (M) certification required
• Active Alaska license if required by state regulations
• Minimum 2 years of recent Mammography Technologist experience
• Current BLS Certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of breast imaging techniques and radiation safety practices
• Excellent patient care, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced imaging environment
