Custodian - Laundry FacilityCustodianHousekeeping / Facility MaintenanceGeneral ManagerPosition SummaryThe Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary laundry facility by performing routine cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping duties throughout the plant. This position helps ensure compliance with company safety standards, cleanliness requirements, and operational efficiency by maintaining all work areas, restrooms, offices, breakrooms, and common areas.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesClean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, entrances, and other common areas.Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility.Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.Clean windows, doors, walls, equipment exteriors, and other surfaces as assigned.Restock restroom and breakroom supplies including soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning materials.Maintain cleanliness of locker rooms and employee common areas.Ensure walkways, entrances, and exits remain clean and free of hazards.Follow all company safety policies, sanitation procedures, and PPE requirements.Identify and report facility maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damaged equipment to management.Safely operate cleaning equipment and use approved cleaning chemicals.Assist with special cleaning projects as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach frequently.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Ability to work in a laundry production environment with exposure to heat, humidity, noise, and cleaning chemicals.Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and tools.Work EnvironmentThis position works in an industrial laundry facility and may be exposed to moving equipment, varying temperatures, cleaning chemicals, and moderate to high noise levels.
