We are looking for a high-energy, sophisticated, Restaurant General Manager to take the helm at BURG'r & BARREL . Nestled in the heart of Historic Johnson City, this unique full-service concept demands a leader who thrives at the intersection of elevated casual dining and high-volume precision. Our kitchen items are quality and made from scratch.

The Role: Impact & Ownership

As General Manager, you are not just "running a shift"- you are the face of the brand and the architect of the guest experience. You will oversee a dynamic full-service operation, balancing the art of hospitality with the science of a profitable bottom line.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Excellence: Keep the highest standards of food quality, service speed, and atmospheric detail.

• Strategic Leadership: Manage P&L, inventory, and labor costs to ensure long-term financial health.

• Team Empowerment: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing front-of-house and back-of-house team.

• Community Connection: Act as a brand ambassador within Johnson City, upholding the legacy of the Peerless name. We are speaking a great communicator for this role.

What You Bring to the Table

We are looking for a seasoned professional who commands the room with "hospitality first" intuition and sharp business acumen.

The Essentials:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 full years as a General Manager in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment. (Required)

• Sophistication: Ability to manage an elevated-casual environment with a polished, professional demeanor.

• Grit: A high-energy approach to leadership; you lead from the front and thrive during a busy weekend.

• Knowledge: Deep understanding of POS systems, inventory management, and Tennessee health and safety regulations.

After nearly a century of serving the finest food in East Tennessee, we celebrated our culinary craft by opening BURG'r & BARREL in 2022 in our hometown historic train depot offering unique indoor/outdoor dining scenes & full bars. In 2023, we acquired MIMI's ICE CREAM & DESSERTS, with 2 dessert trucks, serving outside at BURG'r & BARREL & at events throughout the area. In 2024, we acquired Capelli Bei Salon & Suites which provides professional salon services.
