POSITION SUMMARY: A Shipping Lead is overseeing shipping team. Responsible for safe movement and loading of all customer’s products. Shipping Lead is required to lead training and oversee daily shipping functions. Communicate any discrepancies and issues to the Warehouse manager. Keeping finished goods warehouse organized. This position requires a strong attention to details and good communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

· Follow GMP requirements while performing all job duties.

· Print out Sales Pick Lists for Mass Market and Plantfusion.

· Overseeing shipping clerks and assign jobs for the day. 

· Check available inventory for orders.

· Restocking pick locations.

· Pick - stage and reserve orders.

· Scheduling pickups online and preparing shipping documents.

· Processing small parcel shipments via UPS using UPS WorldShip.

· Moving inventory to various locations manually and by operating powered equipment.

· Loading and unloading trucks.

· Checking Order Summary for Plantfusion and Printing Sales Orders for shipping clerk.

· Routing Amazon orders in Amazon Vendor Central Portal.

· Inspect the trucks before loading.

· Fill out the Truck Inspection Checklist.

· Assisting in other areas as needed and performing other duties as assigned .

 

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

 

· This position functions under direct supervision of the warehouse Manager.

 

Critical Operating Relationships:  

· Work closely with Warehouse Manager, QC and warehouse personnel.

· Interacting with truck drivers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

· Basic knowledge of computers and math.

· Operating sit down, standup forklifts and cherry picker.

· NJ Driver’s License.

 

Education:

 · High School Diploma.

Experience:

· Warehouse and shipping experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Good interpersonal and communication skills .

· Ability to interact with multiple departments .

· Read and write English language.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs.

· Being able to work under pressure.

· Basic computer skills.

· Good math skills.
