- # Mechanical Engineering InternApply: Ridgway, PA: Part time: Posted Today: JREQ-225159**Job Posting Title**Mechanical Engineering Intern**Job Description Summary**Responsible for supporting the Engineering team in the design, development, and improvement of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes used in a high-volume production environment. This internship provides hands-on experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, automation, and cross-functional problem-solving. The selected candidate will work closely with engineers and production personnel to develop practical solutions that support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.**Job Description:*** Design tooling components used in powder compaction and hot forge manufacturing processes.* Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and prints for tooling, gaging, fixtures, and related production equipment.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that improve manufacturing processes, quality, and productivity.* Troubleshoot tooling and production issues alongside engineering and manufacturing team members.* Support automation projects by assisting in the design and implementation of mechanical systems and components.* Participate in engineering reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement activities.* Maintain engineering documentation and update drawings as needed.* Follow established safety, quality, and engineering standards.* Other duties as assigned**Required Skills and Education*** Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology, with an anticipated graduation date of 2028.* Experience using CAD software such as Creo Parametric, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks.* Basic understanding of GD&T concepts and blueprint reading* Basic understanding in Microsoft Office programs **About Dauch:**Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
