Cath Lab Technician

The Radiology / Cardiology Cath Lab Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional procedures related to coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias. This role involves working in an acute care hospital setting, supporting coronary and peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures as well as permanent pacemaker insertions. The technician will collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and procedural accuracy. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and required certifications are necessary, with flexibility for first-time technicians and candidates with pending fluoroscopy permits. Responsibilities:

• Perform coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Conduct peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Assist with cardiac arrhythmia procedures and permanent pacemaker insertions.
• Prepare and maintain the cath lab environment and equipment.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency.
• Document procedures and patient data accurately using the Epic charting system.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technician or equivalent.
• ARRT certification (RCIS not accepted).
• Fluoroscopy permit (pending permits considered if application submitted).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Ability to handle a daily caseload of 8-12 procedures.

• Experience with coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Familiarity with permanent pacemaker procedures.
• Experience working in acute care hospital settings.

• Call requirement is mandatory.
• No weekend work required.
• Floating is not required.
• RTO (Return to Office) must be approved at the time of submission.
• Facility permits calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
• Scrub color provided for OR/Cath Lab staff.
• Free parking provided on the first day; assignment parking arranged during orientation.

• Block scheduling accommodations will be considered.
• Typical daily caseload ranges from 8 to 12 procedures.
• Orientation consists of 30 hours.
