Heavy Equipment Technician / Mechanic

Foley Equipment is the authorized Caterpillar dealer in Kansas and NW Missouri.Our Equipment Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, servicing and repairing heavy machinery in the shop. This includes large and small earthmoving equipment.Hourly Base Rate: $24.62 - $58.30 / hourWhat You Will Do in This Role:Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for repairs and perform critical repairs and adjustmentsRemove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervisionTest and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustmentsDevelop and maintain long-lasting working relationships with customersTravel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.Our Ideal Candidate:Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulicsGeneral knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instrumentsMust be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publicationsPhysical & Working RequirementsThis role involves hands-on mechanical work in a shop environment. The employee must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
