Complaint Lab Receiving Clerk
Location: Alameda, CA Hours: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:30 PM Pay: $19.25 per hour
Summary: Role involving receiving, logging, organizing, and routing customer-returned products for investigation. Requires strong attention to detail, basic computer/data-entry skills, and the ability to work hands-on in a quality-controlled environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, open, organize, and stage packages containing returned products.
- Accurately receive and log customer-returned products into the database.
- Separate and route returned products to the appropriate areas for investigation.
- Maintain proper storage of retained returns.
- Ensure all received products are accurately and consistently documented.
- Follow quality-system procedures and maintain effectiveness of the quality system.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by management to support lab goals.
- Work overtime, including daily/weekend hours, when required to meet department goals.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous receiving, warehouse, inventory, data-entry, or laboratory support experience preferred.
- Experience in a regulated or quality-controlled environment preferred.
- Familiarity with medical devices, IVD products, biologics, or applicable quality standards is a plus.
- Basic computer skills and experience with data-entry systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to organize, sort, and track multiple returned products.
- Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Dependable attendance and flexibility to work overtime.
- Ability to perform hands-on receiving activities, including opening packages, moving materials, and staging products.
