Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience preferred License: State or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Travel experience required - Experience with Epic charting system Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. The role requires caring for patients who are critically ill and require specialized health care. Experience with arterial line management and patient care on ECMO is essential. Candidates should have knowledge in managing ventilated patients and central line care. The nurse will also need to interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias. Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure will be a key responsibility. Familiarity with intra-aortic balloon pumps and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips is preferred. The unit has a patient ratio of 1:2. Support from interdisciplinary teams is available. Ideal candidates should be able to work collaboratively with various healthcare professionals. Candidates should be committed to providing high-quality patient care.
