Supervisor/SAP/Technical

The Supervisor/SAP/Technical provides high-level technical support and direction for the SAP technology stack, including SAP S/4 HANA, C4C, and BW/4HANA as they relate to business processes and infrastructure development. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of business and infrastructure change programs for all SAP system landscapes, which includes gathering requirements, technical research, backend and frontend development, quality assurance, deployment, maintenance, and support for all components of the SAP system landscape as well as integration with non-SAP applications. This position guides the implementation of SAP products through effective utilization of internal and external IT resources and leads ad-hoc work teams comprised of subject matter experts, developers and other business team members at various levels in the organization to ensure deliverables and business requirements are met through defined best programming standards and conventions and support the Company’s short and long-term strategic roadmap.The Supervisor/SAP/Technical evaluates the design and effectiveness of technology controls throughout the business cycle to identify challenges and provides guidance on maintenance, enhancement and/or development work of SAP modules and those that interface with other applications to Project Leadership. Supervises and provides performance management to the development team as well as works in close collaboration with business partners, internal and external development teams, and other IT staff to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications according to the specifications of the business need. This position actively participates in the development of technical and workflow solutions, analysis of SAP application solutions options, creation of appropriate related documents, and the delivery of final solutions to the business utilizing reports, presentations, and/or visual aids. Utilizes information systems to improve efficiency and make recommendations on new system implementation or necessary upgrades that will best meet customer and Company requirements.POSITION DIMENSIONSThe incumbent is not accountable for budgets. Up to seven exempt employees report directly to this position. The incumbent frequently exchanges information with senior management, division management, Information Services support staff, vendors, and consultants.QUALIFICATIONSThere are clear precedents and practices which the incumbent uses to determine how this job is performed. Hands-on expertise in Idoc, BOPF, UI5, Fiori, and ABAP CDS is preferred.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES•Integrate or oversee the integration of SAP and non-SAP systems and software solutions within Company environments and external landscapes•Exhibit and maintain a solid understanding of security, efficient code reuse and software design•Oversee the optimization and quality assurance of custom developments in SAP systems•Supervise and/or develop complicated business processes•Optimize and refactor custom development with use of static and dynamic analysis tools (Code Inspector, Runtime Analysis, Performance Analysis)•Lead configuration of SAP functional modules and other related meter to cash and customer self service applications and maintain configuration rationale documentation or the SAP technical modules and the enhancement of existing solutions and/or development new software solutions to address specific needs or solve business problems•Mentor team members with respect to technical guidelines and standards•Oversee and/or perform tuning, usability assessments and improvements•Adhere to solution architecture and development best practices•Oversee and/or participate in investigating, diagnosing, and resolving incidents allocated to the development team•Maintain an expertise in SAP WRICEF Development and Management•Support large and complex productive SAP environments•Perform or assign project analysis and produce concept communication materials utilizing flowcharts, narratives and other documentation including “What if” scenarios to deliver solutions to known problems and needs assessments on user requested enhancements•Oversee and/or triage and troubleshoot incidents, identify and propose the solution or workaround and open/monitor vendor tickets as applicable. Perform root cause analysis on problems•Prioritize changes and communicate status to the business•Identify improvement opportunities related to SAP•Manage and/or participate in the evaluation of current business processes to identify areas of improvement or system inefficiencies and oversee/participate in the development of innovative solutions that increase customer satisfaction and align with business strategy requirements•Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders by developing a communication process to keep others up to date on project results•Ensure team complies with Company change management processes when moving configurations into production•Participate and consult on the operation of SOX business controls and General Computing Controls related to SAP functional modules supported•Authorize the use of SAP GRC firefighter accounts and analyze/approve related output after use•Own and authorize use of user access roles for SAP and other meter to cash and self service related applications•Establish and maintain liaison relationship with business partners and IT organization to align support efforts to meet business needs•Establish and maintain liaison relationship with third-party vendors to provide effective technical solutions, develop a thorough understanding of vendor SLA’s and communicate any concerns or issues to management•Manage or conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements•Contribute and provide direction for short and long-term planning sessions and provide feedback to ensure understanding of business goals and strategy•Oversee and/or participate in the performance of comprehensive system testing of enhancements, patches and configuration changes.
