Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in critical care experience License: SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) license must be in hand at time of start Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT) must be in hand at time of start Must-Have: Recent critical care experience; RRT only Description: The position requires a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to work night shifts on a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Clinicians must be willing to float to all areas of the hospital as needed. Experience in adult critical care is necessary, including skills in BiPAP, CPAP, and intubation assistance. Knowledge of pulmonary function testing and monitoring arterial blood gases is essential. Ability to handle emergency situations and provide respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, and geriatrics, is expected. All certifications and licenses must be current and valid before starting the position. A commitment to teamwork and collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential for success in this role. Candidates must be prepared to participate in emergency response activities during hurricane season. Travelers must ensure compliance with all requirements prior to starting the position.
