Registered Nurse (RN) Labor And Delivery
Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Labor & Delivery / OB unit in Ottumwa, Iowa.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Labor & Delivery / OB unit
- 10-bed unit
- 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Provides care to obstetric patients
- Pediatric coverage by Board Certified provider
COMPENSATION
- Salary Range: $63,000 $86,000
SCHEDULE
- Full-time
- 12-hour shifts
- Rotates every third weekend and major holidays
ROLE
- Perform patient assessments and identify care needs
- Initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age
- Complete documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record
- Maintain and revise interdisciplinary care plans
- Perform quality improvement assessments

REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program REQUIRED
- Current Iowa RN license or compact license REQUIRED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) REQUIRED
- Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire REQUIRED
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire REQUIRED
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire REQUIRED
- Recent RN experience REQUIRED
- 23 years Labor & Delivery experience preferred
- 1 year Med/Surg or Critical Care experience preferred
