Construction Project Manager

The ideal candidate will coordinate teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role requires hands-on construction experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive project performance across diverse building types.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage ground-up construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts; identify and manage risks and changes to scope.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams; facilitate clear communication among stakeholders.Oversee procurement and contract administration, including bid evaluation, subcontract agreements, and change orders.Ensure compliance with building codes, permit requirements, safety regulations, and company policies; implement and enforce site safety programs.Conduct regular site inspections and quality control reviews; proactively resolve construction issues and defects.Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and meeting minutes for owners and executive leadership.Manage closeout activities including punch lists, commissioning, warranty documentation, and handover to owners.Foster positive client relationships and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive communication and problem resolution.QualificationsProven experience as a Project Manager in ground-up construction projects; demonstrated ability to manage all phases of construction.Solid understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, subcontractors, and consultants on-site.Strong knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, safety standards, and quality control procedures.Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.Proficient with construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office suite.Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; or equivalent construction experience.Valid drivers license and ability to travel to multiple project sites as required.Nice to have: experience with multifamily, townhomes, condominiums, apartments, commercial, residential, or cottage-style projects.
