Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room, ensuring timely assessment, intervention, and management of acute conditions. Oversees the activities of nursing staff and collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients promptly and accurately to determine severity of conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical protocols.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with standards and physician orders.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff and support personnel in the ER.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in emergency or acute care nursing.
• BLS certification from an approved vendor is required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to make quick decisions and perform effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
