Production Scheduler

The Production Scheduler supports Operations by developing, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer commitments. This role is responsible for tracking project progress, identifying scheduling risks, supporting resource planning, and communicating schedule updates across the organization. The Production Scheduler utilizes scheduling tools such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, and Excel to support production activities, optimize workflow, and help ensure on-time project completion.

Location: Orrville, OH

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update production schedules, including identification of critical paths, schedule risks, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with Operations, Production, and Project teams to ensure schedules align with production priorities, customer requirements, and contractual commitments.
• Gather, analyze, and report project and production data, including manpower requirements, schedule status, and progress metrics.
• Monitor project performance against established schedules and communicate schedule updates to internal stakeholders.
• Apply standardized work breakdown structures and scheduling templates across multiple projects and production activities.
• Utilize Primavera, Microsoft Project, Excel, and other planning tools to develop and maintain production schedules.
• Analyze schedule performance and identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize workflow and support on-time project delivery.
• Track project milestones, production activities, and schedule impacts, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with Operations leadership and production teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and improve production efficiency.
• Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and planning documentation as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Project Management, Operations, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, project controls, operations, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and advanced Microsoft Excel functions preferred.
• Knowledge of project scheduling, forecasting, resource planning, and project management principles preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret and analyze production, scheduling, and operational data.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in both an office setting and manufacturing environment, including periodic walking through production areas to assess project and production status.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
