Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Corona, CA (no remote candidates)
Pay: $45,000–$55,000/year, depending on experience

Job Description:

We're a growing business in Corona, CA looking for a detail-oriented, accounting-savvy Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day books and help us complete a full cleanup of our 2026 financials. This is not a data-entry-only role — we need someone who genuinely understands accounting principles, not just how to click buttons in QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts monthly (multiple accounts)
• Review, correct, and recategorize existing 2026 transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Maintain accurate, GAAP-consistent Balance Sheets and P&L statements
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies — not just accept bank feed suggestions
• Manage day-to-day categorization, AP/AR, and month-end close
• Flag and document any uncertain or ambiguous transactions for review rather than guessing
• Communicate clearly and proactively about the state of the books

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, with an accounting degree, coursework, or equivalent formal training strongly preferred
• Proven experience with QuickBooks Desktop specifically (not just QuickBooks Online)
• Strong understanding of debits/credits, financial statement relationships, and cash vs. accrual accounting
• Experience with bookkeeping "cleanup" or "catch-up" projects a major plus
• Comfortable reconciling multiple bank and credit card accounts independently
• Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills
• QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification (Desktop) preferred but not required

Hiring Process:
Qualified candidates will be asked to complete a brief, paid skills assessment (reconciling a sample account and answering a few applied accounting questions) as part of the interview process. References from prior bookkeeping clients or employers will be required.
