Plasma Center Nurse - EMT

Job Description This role is eligible for $3,000 sign-on bonus! We will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician, providing support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS). Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions, following SOPs for medical emergencies and coordinating donor transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when providing unacceptable findings to donors or guidance on medical or technical issues. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents, determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER, and refer to EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats in the local community. Maintain familiarity with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment and follow guidance from BioLife Medical Affairs. Qualifications High‑school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate‑equivalent recognized educational nursing program with state licensing requirements. Current license or certification in the state where duties are performed (EMT‑Paramedic). Current CPR and AED certification. State‑mandated basic IV therapy certification. Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Benefits Comprehensive benefits starting on Day 1. Compensation and Benefits U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $22.80 – $31.35 (subject to qualifications, experience, skills, education, certification, and location).
