Commercial Loan Specialist

We are looking for someone sharp, curious, and detail-minded to join our lending team as a Commercial Loan Specialist. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys digging into financials, spotting patterns in data, and supporting decisions that directly shape the success of local businesses. You'll help our lenders understand the full story behind each commercial relationship and play a key part in how we support growth across our community. What You'll Do Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other commercial loan documents to create clear, accurate spreadsheets, summaries, and reports. Support lenders by preparing risk grades, completing appraisal reviews, and gathering needed customer information. Run credit checks, UCC searches, OFAC verifications, flood certifications, and other compliance tasks that keep our operations safe and sound. Maintain and update ticklers, track large relationships, monitor line maturities, and follow up on required financials. Respond to internal and external questions with professionalism and clarity. Serve as a reliable go-to person for the lending team by keeping information organized, accurate, and moving forward. Who You Are A steady, organized professional who likes solving problems and keeping details tight. Someone who understands how to communicate clearly with customers, vendors, and colleagues. Comfortable working in a fast-paced lending environment where accuracy matters. Naturally analytical and not intimidated by financial statements or technical information. Able to work independently while staying connected with your team. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. 1 to 3 years of banking, lending, loan operations, or financial analysis experience. Strong understanding of commercial lending concepts and financial statement analysis. Confidence using spreadsheets and banking systems.
