Job Description
This role involves operating manufacturing presses and related machinery in a modern, climate-controlled facility. You will set up and run press equipment, perform minor mechanical repairs, and ensure products meet quality standards through careful inspection and adherence to production procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate press machines and other production equipment safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
- Set up presses and related machinery, including adjusting settings, installing tooling, and preparing materials for production runs.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments on machines to maintain smooth and continuous operation.
- Monitor production processes to ensure consistent quality, identifying and correcting issues promptly.
- Conduct quality control checks on finished and in-process products, following defined standards and documentation requirements.
- Use hand tools and power tools to support machine setup, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Follow manufacturing and assembly instructions to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to communicate equipment issues, production concerns, and improvement ideas.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrated experience in press operating within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Machine operating experience with the ability to run and monitor industrial equipment safely.
- At least 1 year of manufacturing or production experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments.
- Quality control experience, including inspecting products and identifying defects.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in assembly work within a manufacturing environment.
- Comfort working with production schedules and meeting output targets.
- Willingness to learn new equipment and processes as needed.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.

You will work on production floors operating press and machine equipment, using hand tools and power tools as part of daily tasks. Typical work involves standing for extended periods, handling materials, and collaborating closely with other production team members.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
