£12.71 per hour Zero-hour contract 7 day a week operation, weekend and evening work is required We're on the lookout for enthusiastic General Assistants to join our fantastic, busy catering team at the Imperial War Museum North on a flexible, casual basis. As a General Assistant, you will be part of a hard-working, friendly group who all have the same goal – to deliver exceptional customer service to our visitors. Successful General Assistants are responsible for a variety of tasks, including providing a friendly and welcoming service to all visitors, assisting with the preparation and service of food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, handling cash, and supporting stock control processes. For events, General Assistants are expected to welcome and assist all guests, set up and clear down event spaces efficiently, and serve food and beverages as required. Shifts Shifts will vary between Monday to Sunday. Due to the nature of the business, successful candidates should be flexible and able to work evenings and weekends. This is a casual zero-hours role, so hours will vary depending on the needs of the business, on a weekly basis.
