IDC General Manager

Key ResponsibilitiesServes as the on-site management and leader of a Import Distribution Center (IDC).Responsible for the execution of all functions at the facility, including: the daily, weekly and annual operational planning and execution to meet distribution center and store service requirements.Recruit, train, and manage up to 250 employee workforce on multiple shifts.Assists associates with HR related issues including questions/concerns with attendance, pay, benefits, job changes, voluntary terminations, I-9 verification, unemployment claims, and workplace accommodationsRecruits, hires, trains, develops, and retains effective shift management teamsIn conjunction with HR, develops, implements, and measures effectiveness of associate training programsEvaluates staffing needs to meet daily demand; works with the Operations Managers and Supervisors to move personnel to meet the daily priorities and inventory flow; monitors regularly and makes adjustments as neededCommunicates effectively with Operations Managers and Supervisors regarding business objectives, safety issues, current issues, upcoming events and demand for the daySets Operations Managers and Supervisors up for success; to achieve or exceed key performance indicators, safety, performance and budget targetsManage relationships with the distribution centers, local community, suppliers to the facility, and corporate constituents of the facility.Develop and nurture a positive, focused, and productive work environment for all team members.Ensure all corporate policies and procedures are adhered to and short- and long-term plans are implemented.Effective stewardship of Lowe’s corporate resources.Pursues professional growth and provides developmental opportunities for others by soliciting and acting on performance feedback.Building collaborative, cross-functional relationships; hiring, training, and developing talent for growth opportunities.Delegating tasks and decisions; fostering open dialogue amongst team members.Working closely with employees to set goals and provide open feedback and coaching to drive performance improvement.Manages designated work stream to meet customer and business needs by translating business plans into tactical action items.Aligning team efforts; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results.Identifying and addressing improvement opportunities and leads the entire facility through change.Ensures all safety policies and procedures are implemented and observed, and that equipment and work areas are neat, clean and well organizedRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree Supply Chain Operations or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable10+ years of operations experience in a large volume center environment5+ years of leadership experience with direct reports, including experience leading managersPreferred QualificationsExperience in customer service, retail, or call centerLean Six Sigma certification (yellow belt or above)Pay Range: $118,700.00 - $198,100.00 annuallyStarting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
