Job Description
The Retail Junior Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations within a retail environment. Working closely within a small team under the supervision of a Store Manager, this position focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting overall store upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with inquiries and product selection
- Manage inventory through stocking and replenishment
- Handle cash transactions accurately at checkout
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays
- Support store maintenance and cleanliness
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems during checkout operations
- Apply product knowledge to inform and assist shoppers
- Contribute to loss prevention efforts
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in retail environments
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Strong understanding of inventory management practices
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable cash handling abilities
- Effective teamwork and problem-solving capabilities
- High attention to detail
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques
