Job Description

Perry’s Powder Coating is looking for a dependable Sandblaster / Metal Prep Technician to join our shop.

This position will primarily be responsible for sandblasting and preparing metal parts for powder coating. We work with everything from small fabricated parts and wheels to railings, patio furniture, frames, and larger commercial/industrial metal projects.

Responsibilities:

Sandblast steel, aluminum, and other metal parts
Remove rust, paint, powder coating, and other finishes
Properly prep metal for powder coating
Load and unload parts
Inspect parts after blasting to make sure they are completely clean
Maintain blasting equipment and keep the work area clean
Help with general shop work as needed

What we’re looking for:

Dependable and able to show up on time
Strong work ethic
Comfortable working in a physical shop environment
Able to lift 50+ lbs
Attention to detail
Able to work independently once trained
Previous sandblasting experience is preferred
Experience with metal fabrication, welding, manufacturing, powder coating, or other metal-related work is a plus

Hours: 20–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, depending on workload. Opportunity for full-time hours when workload allows. usually 30 Plus hours a week and no weekends.
