Shipping Associate

Job TitleThis position is responsible for picking, packing, palletizing, labeling, shipping of customer orders, loading/unloading trucks, support for paint process (loading/unloading, part labeling and inventory transactions, part inspection), assembly of small parts and operating bushing presses.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMust be mechanically inclined and able to use hand toolsHandle parts as necessary to meet production standards.Must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches and various gauges and other tools.Perform source inspectionPerform daily TPMUses stop the line authority at any sign of safety or quality concernsPerforms daily duties per work instructions / standard workCompletes all daily data collection as establishedMust perform daily 5S activitiesQualifications / Training / Skill RequirementsMust be able to read blueprintsMust have good understanding of inventory controlMust be able to follow written and verbal instructionsMust have or be able to obtain a fork truck licenseMust recognize the importance of working in a safe mannerAbility to understand what constitutes quality productsPossess basic math skillsAverage or above average skills in numeric and visual recallMust be computer literateEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDExperience RequirementsManufacturing experience is preferred.Physical DemandsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to work in sometimes extreme temperatures*This is not a comprehensive list of duties.
