Our client, a prominent organization in the food service industry, is seeking a cook to join their team. As a cook, you will be part of the culinary department supporting the food preparation and service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Cook

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Pay Range: $21hr

Shift: 6:30AM or 10:30 AM, 8 hour shifts. Working days will vary.

What's the Job?

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.

What's Needed?

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required
• Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
• Ability to acquire food safety certification
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
