Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN - NICU


Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x1, 12hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks


Requirements:

• OR License
• 2 years' experience
• Required skills: Vents, Bubble CPAP, Trach Care, Cardiovascular:, Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management, Post interventional cardiac catheterization, Pre-Cardiac Surgery
• AHA BLS
• NRP
• CCRN,PALS, and STABLE are preferred

Other Details :

• Patient Age group: Neonates, Infants
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Surgical Patients, Tracheostomy Patients, Delivery Hospital
• Special Equipment: HFOV, Bubble CPAP, Conventional Ventilator, Therapeutic Hypothermia

Requirements

- BLS AHA (RQI not accepted)

- NRP

- 2 years experience

- 2 supervisory references within the last 2 years- at least one to sub (no charge nurses)

Starting and maintaining IVs

UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter)

UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter)

MEDICATIONS/EMERGENCY MEDICATIONS:

Neonatal Dosage Calculations

Anti-Seizure Medications

IV vasopressors

Surfactants

Steroids

NEUROLOGIC:

Assist with lumbar puncture

Intracranial Pressure Monitoring

Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome

Seizure disorders

Therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket)

Ventricular Peritoneal (VP) Shunts

Professional Topic and Skills:

Developmental Care

Patient/family teaching

Phlebotomy

Thermoregulation

Respiratory:

Bubble CPAP

Endotracheal Tube Suctioning

High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)

High Frequency Ventilation

Inhaled Nitric Oxide

Management of Chest Tubes

Meconium Aspiration

-NICU EPIC is virtual - to be completed before unit orientation.

- Rolling start dates, only 2 candidates per orientation acceptable

- Unit Orientation dates vary based on candidate availability and facility bandwidth (week of and week after general) Weekends are acceptable

- times may vary based on preceptor availability and shift candidate was subbed to-

Facility expectation is RN picks up shifts immediately following orientation completion

PLEASE confirm candidate's commitment BEFORE subbing
