4407 Railroad Avenue, East Chicago, Indiana 46312, United States Full-time/Part-time Full-time Job Description Join our Toyota Heavy Duty Team as an Electrical Assembler! What You’ll Be Doing: Work as part of a production team to assemble forklifts. Perform close-tolerance hand work and diagnose improper electrical assembly or operation Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, instructions, diagrams, and engineering drawings Assemble wire harnesses and smaller electrical components. Inspect and test assembled harnesses and components for performance and compliance Complete production and quality documentation Use hand-held tools, such as battery-operated impact and drill guns Perform quality checks to ensure products meet established standards What We’re Looking For: At least 2 years of mechanical assembly experience in a production environment Experience assembling mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems Ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and assembly drawings Strong manual dexterity to assemble parts quickly and accurately Required vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment Ability to communicate effectively and read, write, and speak English clearly Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening Authorized to work in the United States What Sets You Apart: Experience performing root cause analysis and assisting with problem-solving Ability to assist engineering with process improvements and corrective actions Experience developing proper assembly methods and optimizing workflow layouts Ability to assist in the design or recommend process and equipment improvements Proven ability to optimize equipment and materials for efficiency and timeliness Background in electrical field(s) and understanding of basic electrical concepts. Where and When You’ll Work: This is an in-person role, located at our East Chicago, IN facility, which is ideal for those who thrive in a hands‑on, team‑oriented environment.
