Client Strategist

We're looking for a Client Strategist to join our client services team and take ownership of developing and executing integrated strategic plans. This role is designed for a strategic thinker who's spent years in client services before stepping into strategy—someone who knows what it takes to grow accounts, lead clients, and deliver work that actually moves the needle. You'll serve as a strategic lead across a portfolio of client engagements, run quarterly business reviews and monthly planning, lead conversions and help shape how Stirling delivers smart, modern work that meets clients where their business actually is. What we’re looking for in a Client Strategist Lead annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and strategic roadmapping in partnership with the CEO and Director of Client Strategy. Translate client business goals into clear briefs, actionable scopes, and measurable outcomes. Drive organic account growth by anticipating client needs and surfacing new solutions that align with their business. Own scope and pricing conversations—structuring engagements around the value delivered, not hours consumed. Bring market awareness to every conversation—understanding clients' industries, competitors, and categories, and staying current on where marketing, brand, and technology are headed. Share strategic POVs shaped by past experiences in media planning, account management and other integrated communication disciplines. Represent Stirling as a strategic partner in every engagement, and be comfortable saying "no" or redirecting clients when a different path better serves their outcome. Partner closely with Account Supervisors, Account Managers, and Account Directors across the client services team to ensure strategic direction translates into flawless execution. Collaborate with Creative, Engineering, and Media leadership to align client strategy with agency capabilities and delivery. Contribute to internal client service processes and account best practices. Collaborate with the CEO, Director of Client Strategy, and Director of Strategic Partnerships on new business pitches, proposals, and onboarding for strategic accounts. Follow industry trends, emerging technologies, and shifts in the marketing landscape—and translate what you learn into relevant counsel for clients. Key Qualifications 5+ years of experience in agency client leadership, strategic consulting, or senior brand-side marketing roles Proven track record of growing client accounts organically through trusted advisory relationships Strong business acumen—comfortable reading a P&L, discussing margins, and having commercial conversations with clients Experience leading annual planning and quarterly business review processes Excellent writer, facilitator, and client communicator Intellectual curiosity—someone who reads widely, follows industry shifts, and brings informed points of view into every room Experience across multiple industries (B2B, B2C, healthcare, financial services, nonprofit) strongly preferred Familiarity with integrated agency environments spanning brand, digital, content, media, and engineering Why You’ll Love Working With Us Beyond the work, we’ve built an inclusive culture where people are invited to bring their whole selves to the agency.
