Recovery Technician

What You'll Do
- Respond to cases with urgency, traveling an average of 90 minutes to hospitals, morgues, or funeral homes.
- Review donor medical and health information and conduct full-body inspections on deceased donors to ensure compliance with EBAA and FDA standards.
- Perform surgical recovery of corneal tissue for transplant and medical research.
- Communicate clearly with team members, leadership, and external partners.
- Once fully trained, support and assist onboarding and training needs.

How You'll Be Challenged
- Work includes frequent night travel and shifts extending into early morning hours, occasionally past 6:00 AM.
- Cases involve donors with a wide range of backgrounds, which can be emotionally challenging.
- Donation services depend on continuous 24/7 coverage, including weekends and holidays.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has an interest and passion for afterlife or palliative care.
- Thrives working independently and is comfortable performing hands-on procedures solo.
- Experience in healthcare, mortuary science, or criminal investigation is a plus.
- On-call or overnight work experience is helpful - be sure to highlight it!
