Release Manager

Location: Irving, TX Salary: $50.00 USD Hourly - $53.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Release Manager!

Job Summary

This is a Business Systems Consultant / Release Manager / Change Management Analyst type of role supporting a large financial services environment . The person will manage and coordinate technology releases, create and track Change Requests in ServiceNow, evaluate risks using data, and work closely with technology and business teams throughout the SDLC.

The hiring manager specifically wants someone who:

• Has a strong SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) background
• Has experience creating and managing Change Requests
• Can make risk-based decisions using data and facts
• Has worked in a large financial services/banking environment
• Is comfortable pushing back and driving accountability ("has backbone")
• Has experience in fast-paced production/release environments
• ServiceNow experience is highly preferred

Primary Responsibilities
Release & Change Management

• Create and manage Change Requests in ServiceNow
• Obtain approvals and ensure releases stay on schedule
• Coordinate weekly, emergency, and expedited releases
• Support production deployments

Risk & Governance

• Analyze release risks
• Make fact-based risk decisions
• Ensure compliance with change management processes

Project & Business Support

• Resolve business and technical issues
• Manage schedules, timelines, and deliverables
• Partner with technology and business teams
• Improve processes and procedures

Communication

• Lead meetings with large teams
• Coordinate communication across stakeholders
• Provide release notifications and status updates
