Vascular Surgeon OpportunityGeisinger Vascular Surgery is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible vascular surgeon to join a high-volume academic practice at Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) in Danville, Pennsylvania.This role offers full-spectrum vascular surgery in a tertiary and quaternary referral center, with active involvement in education and scholarship.GMC houses a mature academic vascular surgery program with seven full-time vascular surgeons and seven advanced practice providers. Geisinger has maintained ACGME accreditation for its Vascular Fellowship since 1991 and launched an Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency in 2023, graduating three vascular trainees annually.The vascular service operates in two dedicated hybrid ORs with additional open vascular OR access and serves as a regional referral center supported by seven medical helicopters.Clinical Scope:Complex thoracic, abdominal, and thoracoabdominal endovascular aortic interventions (including TAMBE)Open aortic surgeryAdvanced cerebrovascular interventions, including carotid stentingComplex lower-extremity revascularization and limb salvageEarly-career faculty are supported in developing high-volume practices with mentorship and access to complex referrals.Responsibilities:Provide full-spectrum vascular surgical care (inpatient and outpatient)Participate in shared callTeach and mentor vascular residents, fellows, general surgery residents, and medical studentsEngage in academic activity aligned with individual interestsGeisinger provides strong infrastructure for outcomes research, quality improvement, clinical trials, and device-based innovation, with access to large integrated datasets and institutional research support.Qualifications:MD or DOCompletion of an ACGME-accredited vascular surgery training programBoard-certified or board-eligible in Vascular SurgeryEligible for Pennsylvania medical licensureAcademic Rank, Compensation, and Benefits: Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, commensurate with experience.
